Logging out outside of town.
My comp was having problems and kicking me off every now and then. It was really making me mad b/c i couldn't finish my mission. I had it nearly done several times, but it sent me back to the last town i was in. I thought that maybe people could log in to the nearest shrine or at the begining of the area you were in? I was just thinking this would help a lot. Also you could get logged back in the group you were if they were henches or if you could log fast enough for the group to be in the same area.

Easily exploited. Find a nice farm spot, kill the bad guys, logout, log back in, rinse and repeat. Would be too much information stored if they saved the place the way you had left it before logging out.

what about a time limit on it. Say if you log back in to the same account and same character (without logging in another character inbetween) the area is saved for you for 2 minutes. So if you LD for some reason, you have 2 minutes to get back into game and back into your group.

Better idea would be to allow people to invite others into their instances. Granted, you'd be screwed if you were soloing, but hey, you can't have everything.

If you raised the time limit it would be a great idea. I do not think I can restart my comp and log back into guildwars in 2 min.

Thats why the area shouldn't respawn, it should stay just as you left it. But anyone who has lost conn. ,right b4 they finish a mission, knows how annoying it is. But even if it is made where it does respawn, farming is going to happen anyway, whether you like it or not (no I have never farmed in GW).

Eventually it would get to the point that chests near any rez shrines would be so nerfed or flat out removed that there would be no hopes of finding good chests.
Chests should randomly spawn. That would be a nice touch.

Yes it would be a good idea. Keeps people from loggging near chest to let them keep getting the item.

In a way they do...I've noticed in the northern shiverpeak area that some chests don't show up every time...

Actually I was thinking with the timer that you go back with everything the same as when you left it. Mobs that are dead stay dead, chests that are open stay open, so you cant farm one specific area. I should have been more specific. But this way it would also work for solo players that have almost gotten to the point they were going for not have to start all over, and allow people back in group.

My thread summery
More of this:
+ Random chest spawning
+ 2-3min temp shrine save (2 a day limit)
And by the way they sort of fixed farming....
Farming => Needs gold sink => Fissure armor
